September 4, 2011 during the celebration of Moscow birthday RU-CENTER organized the third stage of collecting signatures in support of the domains for the Russian capital. The event was held in the Moscow Tsaritsyno open-air museum.

During the campaign more than 2.5 thousand people voted for the introduction of the capital’s domains. Thus, the total number of signatures in support of the domains .MOSCOW and .МОСКВА exceeded 17.5 thousand.

Dirk Krischenowski, a spokesman for .Cities, the association of the «city» domains, and CEO of .BERLIN, advocating the creation of the domain zone for the capital of Germany, also took part in the campaign of collecting signatures in Moscow.

He mentioned the same activities are organized in Berlin to support TLD for the city. According to Dirk Krischenowski this kind of «voting» helps to build a community around the idea of .BERLIN implementation.
