Sedari has been engaged by the Foundation for Assistance for Internet Technologies and Infrastructure Development (FAITID), a not-for-profit Russian foundation which is preparing applications for the .MOSCOW and .MOCKBA (in Cyrillic) top-level domain names.

Accepting Application for Word Domains Has Started

In September 2010 Russian Registrar RU-CENTER in cooperation with FAITID  launched a website in support of .MOSCOW and .МОСКВА implementation. Application on the domains will be submitted to ICANN in the end of February.

Muscovites, Moscow companies and organizations will have a priority for registration of .MOSCOW and Cyrillic .МОСКВА (.MOSKVA) domain names. FAITID informs the applications for TLDs will be tentatively filed for ICANN in February 2012.

.MOSCOW and .МОСКВА TLDs Were Presented at ICANN Meeting in Dakar

At the 42 International ICANN Public Meeting a meeting of dotCities association was held for the first time. dotCities unites initiative groups supporting introduction of TLDs for cities. To the moment representatives of 20 cities joined the group. .MOSCOW and .МОСКВА implementation project was presented by FAITID staff.

A Memorandum of Cooperation Was Signed Between FAITID and dotCities Interest Group

dotCities unites initiative groups implementing TLDs for different cities of the world. Memorandum allows parties to set-up effective information exchange and experience in the sphere of top-level domains and consequently to assist the implementation of .MOSCOW and .МОСКВА.
