On May 21, 2015 12.00 noon (MSK), Foundation for Assistance for Internet Technologies and Infrastructure Development (FAITID) will launch .RU.NET domain names registration.

.RU.NET exists for more than 20 years (it was registered in January of 1995), however, the large-scale registration of domain names in .RU.NET has not been held. The launch of .RU.NET domains registration will allow millions of Internet users to choose the appropriate domain names for their websites among the large number of memorable domain names.

.RU.NET domains registration will be carried out in stages, with increased registration fees for .RU.NET domains of RUB 90,000 ($3,000/2,600 €) per a domain name charged from registrars at the first stage. The fees will go down to RUB 1,500 ($50/43€) at the final stage.

From June 10, 2015, .RU.NET domains will become available at the standard price that is in effect for all domains included in .RU.NET+ package.

To register a domain name in .RU.NET, one should obtain accreditation as a registrar of third-level domain names in .RU.NET or contact one of the accredited registrars.
