Foundation for Assistance for Internet Technologies and Infrastructure Development Participates in Seliger-2012 International Youth Forum

Matvey Alekseev, FAITID CEO, will present at the Forum a series of lectures on the Internet as a tool for learning. He will pay particular attention to the existing legislation that regulates the interaction among Internet users.

The participants will have a chance to use the skills learned at the workshop in To the Forest - Online game, supported by the Foundation and RU-CENTER. Under its terms young people taking part in the Seliger Forum will have to build giant models of youth offices’ websites of their native region. Despite the team game, each participant will do his own work. It will be necessary to take into account the peculiarities of the Russian Federation’s legislation while developing the project.

“The combination of special and household skills will help to visualize website development process, to learn how to communicate with all participants, as well as to give an introduction on the legal situation in Russian Internet,” says Matvey Alekseev.

The Foundation for Assistance for Internet Technologies and Infrastructure Development cares about the increase in a number of websites for children and young people with a variety of topics. It supports the annual Positive Content contest aimed at finding the most interesting and qualitative websites for child and youth audience, supporting the developers of these websites and motivating them for new projects.

Russian Youth Forum “Seliger 2012” takes place for the fourth time. The Russian State Committee for Youth Affairs is one of the organizers of the event. The first shift of the forum is planned for July 1-9.
