FAITID Representatives Will Participate in the International Internet Governance Forum IGF-2012 in Baku
Dmitry Burkov, the Chairman of the Board of the Foundation for Assistance for Internet Technologies and Infrastructure Development, will speak at the seminar on security, openness and privacy, which will be held in Baku in course of the International Internet Governance Forum (IGF-2012).
Information security will become the key subject of the next International Internet Governance Forum (IGF-2012) that will be held in November 6-9, 2012 in Baku.
At the security, openness and privacy seminar where the direction of the Foundation for Assistance for Internet Technologies and Infrastructure Development is planned to speak, the main points for the discussion will be the issues relating to safe operation and development of the Domain Name System (DNS).
Domain names are the most popular tool for the navigation on the Internet. That is why security and personal data protection is an important issue in this case. Experience and knowledge of Dmitry Burkov allow him to take part in the development of new directions of global domain space very actively.
Dmitry will take part in the section, in which the following issues will be discussed:
- Modern methods for the DNS-filters implementation;
- Cultural reasons such as disputed TLD blocking;
- Commercial reasons such as blocking of search for the commercial websites with counterfeit or pirated products;
- Security issues such as filtering of malicious websites in the search results of the search engines;
- Use of DNS-filtering for the intererests of different states;
- Advantages and disadvantages of DNS filtering system;
- Future of innovations and developments in this area.
