FAITID took part in the 20th HostObzor – the Major Russian Hosting Conference

November 22-23, the 20th HostObzor Conference took place in St. Petersburg. The conference is the major Russian event on hosting that has been held twice a year since 2002. A meeting of the Commission of the Hosting Providers and Domain Name Registrars of the Russian Association for Electronic Communications (RAEC) was held during the event. At the meeting Matvey Alekseev, FAITID CEO and the Commission Chairman, presented a short summary on the first results of the implementation of the Russian block lists of the websites containing offensive information.

"In order to make the lists more efficient, it is necessary to develop a transparent and reliable cooperation mechanism between the Russian Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere of Telecom, Information Technologies and Mass Communications (ROSKOMNADZOR) that is responsible for support of the lists and hosting, telecom providers and domain name registrars. Rapid exchange of the information on the websites included to the lists and the early warning of their owners will help to avoid website blocking by mistake," Matvey Alekseev said.
