The Foundation for Assistance for Internet Technologies and Infrastructure Development published its annual report for 2012. PDF version of the document is available for download.

This report covers all FAITID key work areas throughout the year 2012. It particularly details the application process for .МОСКВА and .MOSCOW TLDs, outlines the events that were held to promote and bolster the project, as well as describes the interaction with Moscow Government.

FAITID took an active part in Russian and international profile events addressing Internet development prospects. Furthermore, it provided expert support for various working groups that drafted proposals for changing the existing and amending the prospective legislation related to the Internet regulation. In particular, the report covers the work of the Foundation experts in the Commission of Hosting Providers and Registrars of the Russian Association for Electronic Communications (RAEC).

Furthermore, a joint educational project was set up with the informational and organizational support of the Foundation and co-partnership of the Institute of Continuing Education of the National University of Science and Technology "MISIS" (MISIS) and Interactive Communication Courses.

At the end of the report FAITID gave a brief description of its plans for 2013. Among the key work areas is the finalization of the technical and policy basis for launching domain names’ registration process in .МОСКВА and .MOSCOW TLDs, further communication with public authorities and a wide informational support of these initiatives.
