Europe-Wide Positive Content

On August 12 (International Youth Day), Russia’s Positive Content contest of websites for children, teenagers and youth was chosen as a national phase for the European Award for Best Content for Kids organized by Insafe (European network of national Safer Internet Centers).

Foundation for Assistance for Internet Technologies and Infrastructure Development (FAITID) is a coorganizer of the Positive Content contest.

articipants of the European award will be chosen by the contest’s organizing committee from the winners (in major or special categories) of this year’s Positive Content. This choice will be based on the compliance with the requirements of the European award. There are four categories:

  • Adult non-professionals (online content designed for 4-12 year-old children made by non-professionals);
  • Adult professionals (online content designed for 4-12 year-old children made by professional studios, organizations, etc.);
  • Individual young people (online content for children and young people up to the age of 18 made by individuals or teams of up to 3 youngsters);
  • School classes / groups of young people (online content for children and young people up to the age of 18 made by school classes / youth groups).

Nominees for the European award will be named during the Positive Content awarding ceremony.

European Award for Best Content for Kids is open for participants from the 25 EU countries, as well as Norway and Russia. The winners will be selected by the European jury comprised of the representatives of all the participating countries, based on the criteria compiled by the award’s organizing committee. The winners will be announced during the

European Award Ceremony in Brussels, Belgium on Safer Internet Day, February 11, 2014.

To become a participant, you need to fill out the Form. Applications will be accepted until October 1, 2013.
