In first days of January the .WIEN and .BERLIN TLDs intended for Austrian and German capitals were delegated. They became live on the web first among all geographical top-level domains to be introduced according to the New gTLD Program.

Except Berlin and Wien the geographical strings are being implemented by Barcelona, Paris, New York, London and about 70 other cities and regions of the world. The applicants for these extensions are united by the GeoTLDs group.

FAITID is a member of this group representing there a project for the .MOSCOW and .МОСКВА TLDs introduction.
