ICANN announced that pre-delegation testing for the .MOSCOW and .МОСКВА TLDs has been completed successfully.

During the testing the extensions’ infrastructure functionality was checked according to more than 90^th parameters in six categories.

“Test results show the strings’ readiness to the launch. We expect the TLDs will be delegated in the beginning of March 2014,” says Dmitry Burkov, Chairman of the Board of the Foundation for Internet Technologies and Infrastructure Development, the registry for the .MOSCOW and .МОСКВА domains. “This scenario enables us to start Sunrise in the TLDs in April 2014, and to launch General Availability in the Q4 of the year”.

The infrastructure solution development for the .MOSCOW and .МОСКВА TLDs has been coordinated by International Network Technical Center (INTC). It will become the registry backend provider for the strings after their delegation.
