As a Registry Operator (Administrator) of RU.NET+ domains, Foundation for Assistance for Internet Technologies and Infrastructure Development (FAITID) accredits organizations as registrars of third-level domain names in .RU.NET, .COM.RU, EXNET.SU, and geodomains.

Any legal entity — not necessarily a resident of the Russian Federation — may become a registrar.

A registrar is required to have at least one of the following accreditations:

• ICANN registrar accreditation, with a 2013 Registrar Accreditation Agreement (2013 RAA), or a later version thereof if approved by ICANN, signed with ICANN; or
• RU and .РФ registrar accreditation from Coordination Center for TLD RU, with a current version of accreditation agreement signed with Coordination Center for TLD RU; or
• .SU registrar accreditation from the Foundation for Internet Development, with a current version of accreditation agreement signed with the Foundation for Internet Development.

RU.NET+ registrar accreditation procedure:

1. Submit an application here.

2. Sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement with FAITID. The form of this agreement will be provided by FAITID.

3. Sign a Registry-Registrar Agreement with FAITID. The form of this agreement will be provided by FAITID.

   A list of documents to be provided by a registrar for signing a Registry-Registrar Agreement.

4. Complete the operational test and evaluation* in accordance with the Operational Test and Evaluation Certification Procedure. To get access to RU.NET+ Test Registry, a registrar should submit a filled-in Registrar's Details form (the form will be provided upon a request).

5. After successfully completing the operational test and evaluation and setting up registrar's registration system, get access to the RU.NET+ Registry.

6. Make an initial advance payment based on the projected volume of service use. Pricing.

7. Start performing the functions of a domain name registrar for RU.NET+ domains.

^*For registrars accredited in .MOSCOW, .МОСКВА and/or .RU, .РФ, operational test and evaluation in RU.NET+ is optional. However, even such registrars are still recommended to try interacting with RU.NET+ Test Registry through EPP in accordance with the Operational Test and Evaluation Certification Procedure.
